Unconventional Vacation To-Do’s

‘Tis the season for eating your weight in sweets while making a permanent indentation on the couch  and watching 17  football games back-to-back.  Or you could do something a bit more unconventional…

I’m glad to be on vacation for the next 9 days, a much needed time to recharge my battery.  Instead of wasting the time, I’m going to invest that time!  Here’s a peek into my list:

  • Set an alarm clock, everyday, get up before the sun
  • Build something beautiful
  • Read a book
  • Work out everyday
  • Play with the kids a lot
  • Write stuff
  • Have coffee with a friend
  • Go for a hike even if the weathers bad
  • Dream big dreams (write them down)
  • Chase big dreams (track progress)
  • Meet amazing new people
  • Count blessings

That’s my list.  Please help keep me accountable to it and ask me how I did.  I guarantee that I’ll feel 100 times better doing these than if I’d slept the next 9 days away.

Now, it’s your turn!  What’s on your list?  Challenge yourself…

  1. Sounds like a wonderful way to spend your vacation . We can set a time for coffee, I’ll go to peets and you go to Starbucks and we’ll talk on the phone.
